An interesting article from the BBC about the way TV viewing habits are changing. Talks about the ability people now have to pause live TV or record shows and ahve them organised more easily. Something I enjoy on my Mac through EyeTV and can certainly understand the appeal of a Sky+ box.
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but, Microsoft did something that has the potential to be cool. The Surface is like the iPhone on steroids and parts of it look very familiar. One thing tho, kudos to Microsoft for finally making a good website thats not blue and pulls you into [...]
I’ve known about this site for a while now but I’ve just come across it again and it’s got a new set of wallpapers up. Some of them are quite breath taking. Anyway, I give you Desktopography.
Interesting experiment from the BBC in which they gave a family a whole digital setup. They were given 2 tasks, to download a movie and download a favourite TV show. The TV show didn’t turn out too well, but it’s an interesting view on things.
I’ve just come across this quote by Lisa Simpson in my Moleskine. I wrote it down a while ago, I don’t really remember why, or what struck me about it at the time. But when I read it this time I felt compelled to come here and post about it.
The quote:

Well, simply put on Thursday night I somehow managed to sprain my neck! Stop laughing! It really hurts! I didn’t actually know it was possible to do such a thing, but I’ve done it and it flipping hurts. Anyway, as a result I’m not able to do as much work as [...]
Thanks to Kahled at Broken Kode I think I shall be checking out an anime film called Paprika. I recently watched an anime called Spirited Away and actually really enjoyed it. I’ve always had a kind of interest in some of the Japanese “cartoons”, but I’ve never really gotten into it too much [...]
It’s got to that crucial stage of the season, the deciding game. I know I don’t post about football, or soccer for you Americans, but this game can’t go by without some kind of comment. My team, Nottingham Forest, are sitting third in League One, one point behind second placed Bristol City. [...]
Great time lapse video of a boat crossing the Panama Canal. These time lapses are great, I’ve come across a fair few of them recently, and they are really fascinating to see long snippets of time in short spurts!
The new Disney Pixar movieRatatouille has a nice 9 minute clip up on the Disney website. I can’t direct link to it as it’s a flash website, but you can get to it from here.
Design can be a funny thing. It can be the most frustrating, painful process, but it can also be the most rewarding satisfying and challenging process. The last term has been very enjoyable in terms of my design work. It began with the frustration I had been experiencing in my work for [...]
