Sony Bravia Rabits Advert
Watch the making of the Sony Bravia Rabit advert. It’s the one with the stop-go animation of the rabits, and yes they actually did it, including making a mahoosive red rabit!
Electric Weekend is the blog and link collection of Phil Bowell. Phil is a graphic designer based in the UK and is a Christian. Find out more.

Interesting article about going “Media Green”. Something I can certainly see myself doing. I’d certainly like to have the whole Apple TV and iPhone part of his setup. The one thing I can’t see myself doing is dropping my magazines completely. Being a print designer I like my printed design magazines, [...]
Interesting essay about stuff. Something I can identify with. Having recently moved to a shared house I realise just how much stuff I have, and I’ve been trying to minimise the amount of stuff I have, although there is still room for improvement (as ever!).

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2 v 11
Happy Christmas everyone!
Apologies if you are on the blog this afternoon/evening, I’m making a few tweaks and having a bit of a refresh so if you experience a few bits of funkyness they should only be momentary.
A couple of really nice wallpapers in amoungst these. Currently I’m rocking the Helvetica one (no surprise there!) and I really like the I Love Typography set in helvetica with the circles (4th down on the right).(Via Cameron.)
Well who’d have thunk it! It seems our Queen is branching out a bit with the creation of her own YouTube channel.
It’s been setup to commemorate 50 years since the first televised Christmas speech the Queen made, and will hopefully make her speech more accessible to the younger generations. A fantastic attempt from [...]
Awesome new graphics tablet from Wacom that acts as a second display as well. See it in action here.
Two minute preview trailer for season 4 of LOST.
It looks great. The ending of season 3 was right back at the level of seasons 1 and 2. I can’t wait to see it.
Apparently Apple shouldn’t release a sub-notebook.
Seems to me all the reasons he has listed points to exactly why Apple would release one. They’ve revolutionised the mobile phone industry with the iPhone, why not with the sub-notebook? I know I would seriously consider a sub-MacBook.
Cameron Hunt has released a new look for his tumble log cameron i/o. I have to say I’m starting to sway towards these darker sites again and Cameron’s is a particularly stunning example.
Shawn has a very in-depth write up of Net News Wire. His comments have sparked me to take a fresh look at NNW, and mainly the beta of NNW Lite 3.1. Particularly with the prospect of sync’ing my feeds across multiple Mac’s with a free feed reader.
Cameron hits the nail on the head for part of my reasoning behind going comment-less here at Electric Weekend.
While I’m here, I’ll take the opportunity to point out a couple more good articles which influenced me in my decision.
Yep you did read that right. For the last few months I have been debating turning off the comments by default, in a similar manner to John Gruber, Jason Kottke and many others. The debate has ranged from many different angles, but in the end always returns to the same conclusion, and [...]
