Electric Weekend is the blog and link collection of Phil Bowell. Phil is a Christian graphic designer based in the UK.
Hello my name is Phil Bowell and this is my blog.
Now here comes the old “this about page writing is hard” bit, so instead of driveling I’ll get to the point. I’m 24, I’m a graphic designer and I’m a Christian. I live in the UK about 30 mins train ride from London. I drive to work. I’ve been designing things for as long as I can remember, and now I get paid for it. I like Mac’s and I’m now an iPhone owner.
I’ve been blogging since August 2005 so I’m approaching my 4th blogging birthday. I initially started out on Blogger and moved to Wordpress before ending up on my own domain here at Electric Weekend.
This site is my little corner of the internet, it’s been alive at this domain since 27th January 2006 and has had a few different looks. I use it to collect links I find interesting and to write a few thoughts as they spring into my mind. It’s also a place to learn, and this theme is the latest in my journey to understand and learn a bit about coding for the web.
Pretty much everything I’ve written from the end of 2007 passed through a great little app called MarsEdit on either my main machine which is a Core Duo iMac or my old 14″ iBook. Sadly my iBook has now passed away1 so everything you see here now is written on my iMac. It’s all run by a great CMS called Wordpress along with a few plugins. Everything is watched by Mint.
